■Background for starting this service
Since 2020, the “GIGA School Initiative” has been promoted in Japan to improve the educational ICT environment. In recent years, we have also been working on the “NEXT” project, which aims to develop and update the ICT environment.

In April of this year, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology set a guideline for the recommended speed per school for each school size, but as of November 2020, among elementary, junior high, and high schools nationwide, Only about 20% of schools meet the recommended band, and improvements are urgently needed.
In response to this current situation, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology will aim to ensure that schools have secured the necessary network speed by the end of FY2027.
