Born in Seoul, South Korea, grew up in Yokohama, Lisbon, São Paulo, Osaka, New York, and Tokyo. After working for an advertising company for over 10 years, he has been writing full-time since 2005. His books include essays “When I Fall in Love with My Mother,” “The Woman I Am,” “About Attitude,” “Infinitely Personal,” “Being Free,” “I went to Kyoto,” and “Just as I am.” Her works include the novels “One day, they are”, “Remember me”, “My man”, “The one who stays by my side”, “The name you call softly”, “Hotel story”, and many others.
She has also published “For Us Who Live as Women│Exchange Diary of Yojo and Lim Kyung Sung│” with Yojo, who is also a singer and writer. After serving as an assistant professor in the Department of Japanese Language and Literature at Korea University and a professor in the Department of East Asian Languages ​​in the Faculty of Humanities at Fukuoka University, he is currently a professor in the Department of Korean and Korean Languages ​​in the Faculty of International Studies, Tenri University. Specializes in Korean and modern Korean literature.
