Launch of residential cloud storage battery system capable of supporting large capacity 15.4kWh
*Slim body size while increasing power storage capacity. Easy to install even in limited spaces*
Image of outdoor installation (actually includes piping, etc.) (Bottom: storage battery x 2 units, upper left: storage battery linked power conditioner, upper right: storage battery converter x 2) Sharp is launching a residential cloud storage battery system that has a large capacity but has a slim storage battery.
In recent years, due to soaring electricity bills and increased awareness of disaster prevention, an increasing number of people are considering installing storage batteries. On the other hand, installation space is limited in small homes in urban areas, making it difficult to install large-capacity storage batteries in some cases.
This time, we have newly developed a 7.7kWh cloud storage battery system. The compact and slim body has an approximately 18% increase in power storage capacity compared to our previous model (*1) and a 28% reduction in body volume, making it possible to install it even in limited spaces.
In addition, you can install not only one unit, but also a combination of two units to achieve a large capacity of 15.4kWh, our largest (*2). While storing and using electricity efficiently in your daily life, you can also prepare for the unlikely event of a long power outage.
In addition, the storage battery itself – JH-WB2421 – complies with the similar fire test (*4), which is a requirement for an increase in subsidies for the subsidy project (*3) for storage batteries.
* ■ Main features *
* 1. A compact and slim case with approximately 28% less volume while increasing storage capacity than previous models*
* 2. Achieves a large capacity of 15.4kWh by combining two 7.7kWh storage batteries *
*3. Confirmed compliance with similar fire test, which is a
requirement for increase in subsidies for subsidy projects targeting storage batteries*
*1 Our conventional model (released in 2019) -JH-WB1921: Capacity 6.5kWh- *2 For Sharp’s residential cloud storage battery system (model that supports installation of two units) (as of September 10, 2024). *3 FY2020 supplementary subsidy for supporting the introduction of distributed energy resources such as household storage batteries *4 Compliance confirmation based on JIS C 8715-2
