*Introducing Fujitsu GLOVIA OM, enabling quick in-house system renovations* Tokyo Glass Equipment Co., Ltd. Fujitsu GLOVIA OM (hereinafter referred to as GLOVIA) is a cloud-based core business system sold domestically by Hideya (hereinafter referred to as Terrace Sky).

At Tokyo Glass Kikai, the integrated ERP package introduced
approximately 20 years ago was becoming a bottleneck in advancing IT strategy. For many years, we had been responding to changes in business processes on the operations side, which resulted in a system that diverged greatly from current business operations, which was a major issue.
Therefore, the company considered introducing a customizable sales management system. The company highly valued Salesforce for its ease of customization, so they considered a core system running on the Salesforce platform, and ultimately decided on GLOVIA.
We selected OM.
* [How to proceed with the project and its effects] *
For the project, TerraSky was in charge of the back-end side, which is close to the core of the sales management system, and Tokyo Glass Kikai’s development team was in charge of the front side, which required customization due to changes in business operations such as the UI.
Tokyo Glass Kikai points out the following advantages of this co-creation development system.
– Front development was done by Tokyo Glass Kikai employees, eliminating communication costs associated with defining complex business requirements.
– Significantly reduce the cost of outsourcing by reducing the areas covered by the vendor and handling the front part in-house even after development and release.
– Through development, we were able to gain the vendor’s Salesforce expertise and know-how, which led to improved skills and growth for Tokyo Glass Kikai employees.

We have realized an in-house system for repairing and improving core systems, which was a priority in our IT strategy, and we are able to quickly respond to simple requests and perform version updates once or twice a week. This has solved the problem that Tokyo Glass Kikai had previously faced, where aligning operations with systems led to inefficiencies in operations and further widened the gap between systems and operations.

By linking systems with Servista, we were able to place and receive orders using EDI, which led to a reduction in fax communication with suppliers and a paperless system.
Going forward, Tokyo Glass Kikai aims to increase collaboration between GLOVIA OM and e-commerce sites and peripheral systems to increase profits.
TerraSky will continue to support Tokyo Glass Kikai’s efforts by renovating and strengthening GLOVIA OM.

This is a cloud-based core business system that provides the know-how of GLOVIA, which has been providing production management ERP for over 20 years, on the Salesforce platform. In addition to not requiring environment preparation such as a server when introducing the system, data integration with SFA and CRM makes it possible to reduce double entry and perform data analysis.
