Nose Electric Railway will discontinue magnetic commuter passes as of Monday, March 31, 2025, in consideration of the high rate of use of IC commuter passes and the environmental impact of the metal contained in magnetic commuter passes. will be discontinued.
Additionally, in consideration of the diversity of gender identities, gender printing on commuter passes and other items will be
discontinued as of Monday, March 31, 2025.

1. Regarding the end of sales of magnetic commuter passes
(1) Sale end date
Monday, March 31, 2025
*Reservation commuter passes sold at Yamashita Station will no longer be available as of Monday, March 31, 2025.
(2) Magnetic commuter passes no longer on sale
All magnetic commuter passes sold by our company
*As an exception, in the following cases, magnetic commuter passes will continue to be sold at commuter pass sales offices.
○When purchasing a discount commuter pass for people with disabilities or a commuter pass for practical training
○When using two or more commuter passes for consecutive sections (For example, if a commuter pass and a school commuter pass are used together) ○When using a magnetic commuter pass in combination with another magnetic ticket (excluding regular tickets)
2. Abolition of gender printing on commuter passes, etc.

All commuter passes sold by our company (“PiTaPa commuter pass*1”, “ICOCA commuter pass*2”, “magnetic commuter pass”), children’s ICOCA (3) Eliminating gender selection when purchasing commuter passes, etc. We will eliminate the gender selection field on the “commuter ticket purchase form” that must be filled out at the time of purchase at the commuter pass sales office.
