“10th Kokumaru Bread Festival” held at Kokubunji Marui
*Kokubunji Marui 35th anniversary project! Limited to 7 days from Wednesday, September 11, 2024 to Tuesday, September 17, 2024! * Kokubunji Marui (Marui Co., Ltd., Headquarters: Nakano-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Masahiro Aono) 1F Calendarium 3 (Event Space) We will be holding the “Kokumaru Bread Festival”.
What is “Kokumaru Bread Festival”?
A very popular annual bread event held in spring and fall! Once again, this is a 7-day period where you can enjoy bread from a selection of popular stores all at once. There will be 21 stores, including popular bakeries in the Kokubunji and Tama areas, selling a wide variety of breads made with carefully selected ingredients and textures. Furthermore, this time as well, we will be featuring products that were developed by students from Tokyo Keizai University in our hometown of Kokubunji.
A large collection of special items from the bakery that opened at Kokubunji Marui for the first time! Enjoy shopping around like you would at a marche.

Introduction of store openings
*September 11th (Wednesday) – September 17th (Tuesday) *Held throughout the year*
* -Tokyo Keizai University Suzuki special seminar student × Pompadour development collaboration bread-*
We will be selling three types of collaborative breads that can only be tasted at this event, developed by students from the Suzuki Special Seminar, members of the local Tokyo Keizai University who love bread, together with the Pompadour Kokubunji store.

A luxurious cream bread made with matcha-scented dough wrapped in two types of cream: matcha custard with chocolate chips and matcha whipped cream.

Baked with potato salad, teriyaki chicken, green onions, and cheese. The spicy curry batter will whet your appetite.

Two types of rich cream made with cream cheese are squeezed onto bread dough soaked with coffee syrup. Danish like tiramisu.

A hearty omelet sandwich made with three free-range eggs produced in-house. Simply sandwiched between ham and cheese and topped with aurora sauce.

* -KIYOKA MORIMOTO Kiyoka Morimoto- *First store*
This is a chestnut croissant bread that is filled with flavorful astringent chestnuts in the croissant bread dough with plenty of marron cream woven into it.

* -COUP DE COEUR COUP DE COEUR-* * *First store*
A hearty sandwich made with seasonal vegetables and fruits. Please enjoy it.

* -Mogumogu Bakery- *First store*
A bakery in Nishi-Kokubunji! We are particular about using ingredients from Hokkaido, such as Hokkaido wheat, Okinawan salt, and butter.

* -Tribeca Bakery- *First store*
It features a chewy dough that does not contain eggs, butter, or milk. We have made the bagels made in New York even more delicious and easier to eat for Japan.

* -Ponde COFFEE- *First store*
A store specializing in gluten-free chewy bite-sized bread “Ponde” and home-roasted specialty coffee.

We also recommend the rich variety of melon bread and the crispy rusk.

We aim to be a bakery similar to those found on street corners in Sweden. Enjoy authentic cinnamon rolls flavored with cardamom.

The fruit is not only in the cross section but also in the cream. It has a refreshing cream cheese flavor and is not too sweet.

* -Mikazuki Cafe- *First opening*
A sandwich made with a buttery croissant. We use hearty sausages and carefully selected ingredients.

* -Kyoto Gion Bologna* –
The original Danish bread shop has been loved since 1979. When toasted, it’s crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

* -Fussa Dog Otama Ham* –
Contains big sausage and aromatic smoked bacon. We use domestically produced pork. This is an American hot dog typical of Fussa, the town where the US military base Yokota is located.

* -Ginza Kimuraya Sohonten-*
“Saketane Goshiki” is Kimuraya’s most popular assortment of anpan, made by fermenting sake yeast and baking it.

* -SWEETS BAKERY Sweets Bakery-*
We carry butter-infused pretzels straight from Germany, the home of pretzels, as well as cute-looking micro donuts, canelés that would make great snacks or gifts, and rich American-made chocolate brownies.

A hidden bread shop in Tachikawa known only to those in the know. We recommend banh mi.

* -Commons Kitchen Commons Kitchen-*First store opening! *
Commons Kitchen’s loaf of bread is made from 100% rice flour, but it’s so light and fluffy that you won’t believe it’s made from 100% rice flour! When toasted, the ears become rough!

* -Pakupaku- *First store opening! *
A fluffy bread made with natural yeast. My favorites are cream bread, curry bread, and salt bread. Try it!

* September 12th (Thursday) – September 16th (Monday) *
* -Adam’s awesome PIE Adams Awesome Pie-*First store opening! * Established 70 years ago. Nezu Fruit and Vegetable Store started out as a Shinshu apple wholesaler, and now operates a fruit and vegetable wholesaler in Tachikawa. Please enjoy the completely new “Apple pie made by a fruit and vegetable wholesaler.”

A popular bakery in the local Kokubunji area. We recommend the “Yudane Bread,” which is chewy, moist, and delicious to the touch, and which you’ll want to eat every day, as well as the wide variety of prepared breads.
