Selection results for the “FY2020 Tokyo Port Off-Peak Transport Model Project” A project to promote off-peak use of Tokyo Port has been decided.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government aims to disperse the time of truck visits to the Port of Tokyo, which tend to concentrate in the afternoon and evening, and accelerate the elimination of congestion in front of gates at container terminals. As an initiative to help resolve the issue, we will implement the “Tokyo Port Off-Peak Loading/Unloading Model Project,” in which loading and unloading is carried out during times when container terminals are relatively empty, such as in the morning.

We have been looking for initiatives from shipper companies that aim to solve issues together with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and we would like to inform you that the project has been decided after a review by a review committee set up by the business promoter.
