9/5 (Thu) New release from Formlabs! Bringing innovation to casting sites with Clear Cast resin
System Create Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Aramoto Shinmachi, Higashiosaka City, Osaka Prefecture, Representative: Masayoshi Kawakami) is a subsidiary of Formlabs Inc. (Headquarters: USA).
Clear, a new product developed by Boston (Formlabs) for investment casting. We are pleased to announce that Cast resin has been released. This is the latest resin for creating 3D printed molds that can be used directly in the foundry, streamlining the manufacturing process and reducing costs.
Achieving high precision mold production
Clear Cast resin has Formlabs’ SLA
It is possible to directly manufacture molds using 3D printing technology. This resin has very low thermal expansion, contains no trace metals, and leaves virtually no ash. Additionally, it also contains no trace metals, so it won’t negatively impact the quality of your final product.
In addition, molds can be manufactured with high precision, with tolerances within 0.25 mm, resulting in parts exactly as designed, significantly reducing the time and costs associated with traditional processes.

Ideal for making large parts! The power of Clear Cast resin
Clear Cast resin is Clear
Cast resin is especially suitable for printing large models with a thickness of 3 mm or more. In addition, when combined with lattice structure generation software, the properties of the material can be further demonstrated. The lattice structure allows the interior to be hollow, reducing the amount of material used while maintaining the necessary strength. This minimizes cracks caused by thermal expansion during firing and cooling, and achieves stable print quality. Realizes a simple workflow that anyone can use
Clear
Printing using Cast resin is done using a Formlabs SLA printer. No special training is required as printing can be done with very simple operations.
Compared to the normally required design of a mold for the workpiece and the subsequent injection molding process, Clear
Cast resin is an ideal choice.
