*On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, a new “Art Gallery” will open on the 3rd floor of Daimaru Shimonoseki store as a space where you can feel closer to art, including Japanese and Western paintings, contemporary art, sculptures, and crafts. *
The long-awaited “Art Gallery” will open on the 3rd floor of the Daimaru Shimonoseki store, a new space where you can feel closer to art. We hold exhibitions with different themes every month, ranging from Japanese and Western paintings to contemporary art, sculpture, and crafts. Please feel free to visit our art gallery, which can be enjoyed by a wide range of art fans.

We will be displaying and selling works by not only art fans but also artists that you may have heard of, such as Hiroshi Senju, Shiko Munakata, Koji Kinutani, and Georges Braque.
