In Wakayama Prefecture, traffic safety campaigns are held four times a year, and traffic safety campaigns are held throughout the prefecture with the aim of preventing traffic accidents. On July 11, 2019, the Wakayama Prefectural Police named the giant panda “Saihin” as a symbol of the wish for children to grow up healthy and pursue their dreams without being involved in traffic accidents. I was commissioned as the Wakayama Dream Ambassador for Traffic Safety. Since then, the baton of ambassador has been passed on from “Saihama”, who has been conducting public relations and awareness of traffic safety for three consecutive years, and from July 2022, “Kaedehama” will continue public relations activities as the second generation traffic safety Wakayama dream ambassador.
