Toshiba Lifestyle Corporation will release the ZABOON TW-84GS4, a drum-type washer/dryer with a compact size that can be installed to save space and a stylish design that fits in any space.
The new product has a washing capacity [Note 1] of 8kg and a drying capacity [Note 2] of 4kg, which allows for bulk washing, yet it has a compact size with a body width and depth of 599mm [※1]. It is also equipped with our proprietary technology, “Antibacterial Ultra Fine Bubble Cleaning”. It is recommended not only for those who have given up on drum-type washer/dryers due to space limitations, but also for those living alone or in small households.

The demand for drum-type washer/dryers has been increasing recently, and they are not only suitable for families who want large size and large capacity, but also for young people in their 20s and 30s, and single households (people living alone).These machines can be operated automatically from washing to drying. The desire to purchase drum-type washer/dryers is increasing. On the other hand, limitations on installation space and insufficient transportation routes were factors that led to people giving up on purchasing the product.
Therefore, we have added a new compact model with a washing capacity of 8kg and drying capacity of 4kg to our drum-type washer/dryer lineup, which only has a washing capacity of 12kg and a drying capacity of 7kg. With a body size of 599 mm in width and depth, it can be installed anywhere and saves space, making it recommended for small households of 1 or 2 people.
The cleaning function is equipped with “Antibacterial Ultra Fine Bubble Cleaning”. It thoroughly removes sebum stains deep within the fibers to prevent clothes from yellowing, and uses “Ag⁺ Antibacterial Water” to disinfect clothes every time they are washed [Note 3]. It is also equipped with a hot water washing function that allows you to choose from 4 temperature settings from 15℃ to 60℃, which can be used depending on the type and condition of the stain, such as yellowed clothes or stubborn stains, and the purpose. You can select the drying mode such as “Hurry” mode that dries in a short time, “Careful” mode that dries thick clothes thoroughly, and “Low Dry” mode that gently dries clothes that are concerned about shrinkage with low-temperature air. It also uses a water-cooled dehumidification system, which dehumidifies the hot, humid air generated during drying operation before exhausting it, keeping the room comfortable.
