“38th Lake Towada Four Seasons Photo Contest” held. We are looking for a wide range of seasonal works around Lake Towada.

We will be holding the “38th Lake Towada Four Seasons Photo Contest” again this year, with the theme of nature and tourism representing the four seasons around Lake Towada.
The organizer of this contest, the general association, will submit unpublished photos that were taken after January 2024 in the Towada-Hakkoda area of Towada-Hachimantai National Park or in the mountainous area connected to Lake Towada and that express the appeal of nature and tourism. Towada Oirase Tourism Organization (TOWADA) TRAVEL) is recruiting a wide range of applicants, both professionals and amateurs.
This contest aims to spread the word about the outstanding scenery and festivals of the area surrounding Lake Towada throughout the country through excellent photographs, attracting tourism, and raising awareness of nature conservation. All award-winning works selected by February 2025 will be displayed at the Towada Lake Yasuya after the award ceremony, and will also be used for promoting tourism around Lake Towada and the Towada Oirase Tourism Organization. I’ll enjoy having this.
We are looking forward to receiving many applications from all over the country.

Nature and sightseeing around Lake Towada that represent the four seasons
▶︎Work regulations
・Unreleased footage shot after January 2024.
・The photo must be taken within the Towada-Hakkoda area of
Towada-Hachimantai National Park or in the mountainous area (jukai line, etc.) connected to Lake Towada.
– Equipment (silver halide camera, digital camera, etc.) and color correction are not required. However, please refrain from compositing free materials.

Each person can apply up to 10 items, regardless of whether they are professionals or amateurs.

Must arrive by Monday, January 6, 2025

A photographer representing Towada City, Aomori Prefecture. Former lecturer in the Department of Photography, College of Art, Nihon University, member of the Japan Photographers Association, and chairperson of the photography section of the Aomori Prefectural Art Exhibition.
・Mr. Hitomi Komatsu
A photographer from Kakunodate-cho, Akita Prefecture. Focusing on landscape photography, he takes a wide range of photographs focusing on the nature and climate of northern Tohoku.
