Announcement of the opening of the second convenience store Waza Mart store *Wazawa Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Wazawaza) is pleased to announce the opening of the second Waza Mart store. We held our grand opening in Suwa City, Nagano Prefecture on September 10, 2024. * Renovated a vacant house in a shopping district and opened a local convenience store open all year round.
* ■I like good things. *
But I’m lazy and don’t want to go far to go shopping, and I feel obligated to do research on the internet, which makes it difficult for me. However, there is also a part of me that is more picky than most people, and I don’t like it unless it tastes good, and I don’t like the problems or environmental impact that the things I buy cause.
If possible, I’d like society to improve by buying things, but do we always think about the environmental impact that much in our lives? Not really if you ask me. I like things that feel good and I like things that are interesting, but I think it’s a bit of a hassle to put effort into it.
It’s about me.
We purposely created a store called Mart with the aim of “buying good things quickly.” It looks like a convenience store and is open seven days a week, but it has a variety of items that are a little different from other stores. I believe that this is both for people like me and for society. When we shop comfortably, society improves. That’s how I designed it.
“Waza Mart” is a store that was created with these very personal thoughts in mind, but also with the belief that it would be of benefit to society.
For the second store, we aimed to make it more similar to a
convenience store. The second Waza Mart store held its grand opening on September 10th in Suwa City, Nagano Prefecture.

* ■What is Waza Mart? *
Waza Mart is a localized convenience store + direct sales store based on the concept of “buying good things quickly.” It’s open seven days a week, and there are approximately 2,000 types of food and daily necessities on display, including foods with few food additives and products with reduced environmental impact.
The first Waza Mart store in Tomi City, Nagano Prefecture will open in January 2023 in a renovated soba noodle factory adjacent to the headquarters.
A popular corner with a selection of natural wines and rare alcoholic beverages from all over Japan.
Another feature is that we have a direct sales corner, where you can purchase fresh vegetables and fruits in partnership with local producers. In addition, at the first store, Tomio store, you can take out bread and coffee, and at the second store, you can take out rice balls and tea made in the store’s kitchen. We plan to continue opening stores in accordance with the region in which we open them.

The first Waza Mart store was opened in Tomi City, Nagano Prefecture, where Waza Waza Co., Ltd.’s headquarters are located, but the second store was opened in Suwa City, which is far away from Tomi City. Currently, due to the activities of Rebuilding Center Japan Co., Ltd., Suwa City has become a hot topic of vacant house regeneration within the prefecture, with the acceleration of the opening of stores in areas that have been renovated from vacant houses in shopping districts. The store was opened in the hopes of making it easier to shop in an area where the number of immigrants has increased. We look forward to your visit.
