For “Sekku”, we asked Reiko Yasui, a culinary expert who is the most knowledgeable about hotpot ingredients in Japan, to come up with an adapted recipe using our hotpot soup. “Reiko Yasui’s 2024 competitive hotpot 7 recipes

We asked Reiko Yasui, who won over 7,000 types of hotpot soups in 2022 and 2023, to come up with seven unique hotpot menus using our popular hotpot soups under the title “Reiko Yasui’s 7 competitive hotpot recipes.” I received it. This project was born out of people who agreed with our desire to “propose new value to hot pots.” Last time in 2013, based on Mr. Yasui’s idea, we devised an exciting menu that would make you feel like you were traveling around the world, with the theme of “Local & World Flavors”, taking into account the current situation in the world where people can’t travel freely. I received it.
In 2024, as the third collaboration, “Let’s Nabepa!”, which you can enjoy with your friends, family, or just yourself! ” is the theme we propose.

Essayist and cooking expert With the motto of “Easy, beautiful, and healthy!”, he appears at healthy and eco-friendly cooking classes and events. Active in talk shows, TV, commercials, blogs, etc. As an honorary hotpot magistrate of the Japanese Hot Pot Culture Research Institute, he is working to spread Japan’s healthy hot pot cuisine around the world.
He is also the representative of Uchi Eco! Gohan, an organization that considers the global environment through food, and the chairman of the NPO Everyone’s Eco Iku Promotion Association. We are proposing lifestyles, including food, for the “100-year lifespan” era.

This year’s theme, proposed by Reiko Yasui, is “Let’s Nabepa!” The idea is that the mood of self-restraint during the coronavirus pandemic has eased, and that it’s okay to have a hotpot party where everyone can enjoy themselves, which is the best part of hotpot.
This year as well, we will be asking participants to come up with seven menus using Moranbong’s hotpot soup under the title “Seventh Game”. We want to support your “important day” and “special day” with your family and friends! With this in mind, I put a little more effort into making this hot pot recipe that will lift your mood.

* Q. Please tell us your thoughts on the theme of this hotpot recipe, “Let’s Nabepa!” *
Since the coronavirus pandemic has ended, people from other countries are choosing Japan as their travel destination! There are signs that an inbound economy is coming. On the other hand, despite such positive news, the rush to raise prices continues due to the influence of other countries such as soaring raw material prices. That’s why I wanted to propose a way to enjoy hot pot at home that’s cheaper, easier, and more fun than eating out.
* Q.What is your favorite dish among this recipe and why? *
All of them are delicious, but this year’s favorite is “Jang Chigae Suki Nabepa!”

You can decide the amount of Jjigae raw sauce according to your preference, so it can be applied to a variety of dishes, but among them, “Sukiyaki”, which tends to have a strong taste, can be made into a spicy and spicy menu that will appeal to men and women of all ages. Recommended. I think Jangjigae, with its aroma of fresh spices, will attract a lot of attention. Also, I think your family will appreciate the idea of adding yogurt instead of just eggs.
* Q. Please tell us about your expectations for this year’s home hot pot and the hot pot trends that you are paying attention to. *
The hot pot menus we are focusing on are “shabu-shabu” and “sukiyaki”, which are familiar to people overseas.
Hot pot menus have long been considered representative of Japan, but I’m thinking about adding some new elements to them. There are still many elements to develop, such as taste, aroma, and ingredients, so I hope you’ll enjoy sharing the ideas you’ve come up with at home.
* Q. Other than hot pot, are there any other menu items that you are looking forward to this fall/winter? *
The “hybrid” movement is strong. It’s a menu that pairs something with something. I think cross-border menus that incorporate these, such as kurundi and shumacarons, will continue to attract attention in the fall and winter. I also think that performance-oriented menus such as Kalopa and Taipa will become a focus in the future.
