Mr. Yoichi Ochiai
Studied media arts at the University of Tsukuba and obtained a doctorate from the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies, the University of Tokyo.
Currently Director of the Digital Nature Development Research Center at the University of Tsukuba, Associate Professor of Library, Information and Media Studies, and Chairman and CEO of Pixie Dust Technologies Co., Ltd.
Specializing in applied physics and computer science, his research papers have been accepted at several prestigious international conferences, including Siggraph.
Received the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s Commendation for Science and Technology in 2020, and the Young Scientist Award.
We advocate digital nature (computer nature), which aims at the fusion of computers and nature, and aim to contribute to the realization of a new natural environment that will be reconstructed through the compatibility of computers and non-computer resources, and to the development of technology for social implementation.
