Announcement of capital and business alliance between Daitoichi Co., Ltd., which operates Teppanyaki Cologne, and otto Co., Ltd.
On September 2, 2024, Daitoichi Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture) formed a capital alliance with Otto Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo).
Daitoichi Co., Ltd. was spun off from Daitoichi Honkan Co., Ltd. in 2014, and has been working on the operation of Teppanyaki Cologne (Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture), which opened in 1991. Teppanyaki Cologne is a long-established teppanyaki restaurant that has been in business for over 30 years and continues to be loved by locals.The staff includes a chef who worked as a sommelier at a restaurant in Germany;
The chef trained at the only Teppanyaki restaurant that received a Michelin star.
With the addition of promising young chefs, we have a team of unique grillers who create a spectacular performance of grilling right in front of your eyes. You can also enjoy the sommelier’s recommended wine along with the finest A5 rank Japanese black beef and fresh seafood.
Background and purpose of business succession
Keizo Kaneko, representative director of Daitoichi Co., Ltd., was worried about the lack of a successor and decided to take over the company, forming a capital and business alliance with Otto Co., Ltd. in September 2024.
Otto Co., Ltd. values “sustaining a valuable brand” and “creating new value,” and is working on capital and business alliances to realize the secret aspirations of owners.
Up until now, we have been working to continue the brand and expand our business through capital alliances with eight restaurant group stores mainly in the Osaka area, an udon restaurant selected as one of the 100 Famous Tabelog restaurants, and a tandan noodle specialty store reminiscent of a pop Taiwanese street food stall.
