Asunooto Co., Ltd. (Representative Director: Ryosuke Nobuoka, Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as the Company), which operates Satonoba University, will begin accepting applications from Friday, September 13, 2024, for student admission in 2025. We will start. *
Satonoba University does not have a campus and focuses on project learning, which is practiced while living in the community.* This is a new style of university. In collaboration with 15 regions nationwide that are working on advanced town development, students will move to a region that aligns with their theme for one year at a time. In addition to local activities, this unique curriculum combines online communication with current students in each region and instructors who are top runners in the field of regional co-creation, and maximizes the learning gained through local exploration through theoretical input and dialogue. We are expanding.
We will begin offering a four-year program in 2021, and will accept the fifth batch of students in April 2025. In addition, in response to the growing need for gap years and career breaks, last year we started offering a “gap year course” where students choose one area and study while living there for 10 months, deepening their learning while mixing with students from other courses. We are now accepting applications for applicants to the above two courses that involve studying abroad in the local area.

This initiative originally started at universities in English-speaking countries, and encouraged students to set up a long gap between graduating from high school and entering university, during which they could gain experiences that could not be obtained at university.
