“If I Live with My Father” was performed at the 34th Komatsuza Theater in 1994, won the 2nd Yomiuri Theater Award for Best Work, and is a masterpiece by Hisashi Inoue that continues to be performed again.
The role of Takezo will be played by Zen Kajiwara, who has worked in Tokyo Sunshine Boys, run by Koki Mitani, and has been active in numerous stage and video productions. The role of Mitsue will be played by Ayane Suzuki, whose presence in Fuji TV’s monthly drama “366 Days” has become a hot topic, as well as a gorgeous cast. Synopsis
Hiroshima, 1945.
Mitsue fell in love at first sight with the serious young man who came to the library. This faint love awakens the spirit of her father, who died in the atomic bombing.

It touches me every year. I think it’s really terrible…
As I approach the next year, I feel inadequate for not being able to do anything more.
I was given the opportunity to read aloud from Hisashi Inoue’s play “If I Live with My Father”.
This is a story about the thoughts of a father and daughter at the time of the atomic bombing and the aftermath.
I am grateful to be able to read this play as an actor, and through this story, I feel like I can finally convey the feelings of the atomic bomb survivors. Everyone, please come and listen to this story!
