*~ An exhibition showing all award-winning works from 2021 to 2024 will be held at the same venue from November 8th to November 10th! ～* * 1minute Projection Mapping, one of the world’s largest international projection mapping competitions originating from Japan, celebrated its 12th time this year.
The Grand Prix of “Competition” was decided by Kentaro Tanaka (Japan), and will be held on September 16th (Monday, holiday) at Meiji Jingu Gaien.
The award ceremony was held at the Seitoku Memorial Picture Gallery. The prestigious prize plate, created by combining the two craft techniques of Edo Kiriko and Kumiko work, was presented by the presenter, Deputy Governor Ushioda, and the 2024 Paris Olympics gold medalist in the 48kg category, Natsumi Tsunoda (SBC).

There is a mysterious mirror in room 808 of a certain building. When no one is around, the mirror snakes around the room, changing its shape, and sometimes breaking things. I created a several-minute video observing the situation in the mirror, which was filled with humor. Kentaro Tanaka, who won the Grand Prix, created a wonderful work even though it was his first attempt at the age of 20. Personally, I am happy that the first Japanese Grand Prix winner in 11 years has appeared. Also, this time, 17 creators, the largest number ever, gathered together. Thank you for sharing this space with everyone. We are also looking forward to the next exhibition held in November.
