The 14th Smart Public Lab Utilization Case Study Seminar will be held for free on September 30th with the theme “96% applied for benefits from LINE within the first week – Smart Public Lab electronic application ‘Case study from Okawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture'”! PlayNext Lab) has decided to hold a free online seminar from 16:00 on Monday, September 30th to introduce the latest administrative DX examples provided by the GovTech program’s “Smart Public Lab”.

At this seminar, we will demonstrate the contents of the “Smart Public Lab Electronic Application” service and introduce an example of its use in Okawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture. This service has been praised for its high level of convenience, as it does not require the installation of any other apps, including public personal
authentication and payment, all within LINE.

Okawa City, which will be introduced in this seminar, started in January 2023 and currently allows electronic application for 13 types of administrative procedures. Regarding applications for childbirth and child-rearing support benefits, which began when the service was launched, over 100 applications were received from LINE in the first week, with approximately 96% of applications being made through LINE, which has been well received by users. In this seminar, we will provide a detailed introduction to the background of its introduction and usage status.

We are looking forward to the participation of local government employees, including those from the Administrative DX Promotion Division and the Public Relations and Public Hearing Division, who have introduced electronic applications using LINE.
