Established 120 years ago* Background of our efforts with Japan’s long-established tableware brand “Noritake”*
“Nordic Living Tools Store” Manager Sato
The cup and saucer on the bottom left is Sato’s favorite item, the one on the top right is a reprint limited to our store.
The manufacturer selected for the first reprint project of “Nordic Living Tools Store” is “Noritake,” a long-established Japanese tableware brand with a 120-year history.
Founded in 1904, the company succeeded in manufacturing Japan’s first dinner set in 1914. With reliable quality backed by advanced technology and beautiful designs with rich sensibilities, this brand is one of Japan’s leading tableware brands and is loved in a variety of food settings, including homes, hotels, and restaurants.

The impetus for this collaboration was the encounter with “Noritake” a year and a half ago, when store manager Sato drank coffee in a “Noritake” cup while on a trip. , now sold out) for home use. Feel the spread of a new style with the elegant design unique to vintage, Instagram
When I posted it, I received a lot of feedback from customers. In addition to the growing demand for vintage items, we have also started a reprint project in response to customer feedback regarding Noritake cups and saucers.
The two companies co-created the delicate design, and the original “Viola” pattern was also decorated.
For this project, the two companies collaborated to recreate and reproduce the design as much as possible, using Sato’s favorite vintage cup and saucer as a base, and using some original motifs. The material is bone china. In 1932, “Noritake” succeeded in developing Japan’s first bone china.
The gold arabesque pattern on the edges of the cup and saucer was hand-drawn by the Noritake designer. The original cup and saucer was made in an era when designs were hand-drawn, so there is no data on it, and no transfer paper version remains from that time. Copying was necessary to recreate the unique hand-painted feel.
The gold decorations on the edges and handles of the cup and saucer are delicately hand-crafted by Noritake craftsmen. The original shape of the saucer had a shell-like relief, but this time we recreated it by painting a circular saucer with a frilled gold edge.

The viola flowers that decorate the entire cup and saucer are our store’s original design created by Classicom’s designers. With an elegant appearance that embodies both loveliness and dignified atmosphere, the design aims to be a vintage-like item that will be loved for many years to come.
Classicocom designer who designed the store manager Sato and the viola pattern. In response to this great response, we would like to develop a reprint project with long-established domestic and international brands, as well as brands from Northern Europe, which is the origin of our business.
