Ashoka diamonds are delicately cut to give off a fantastic shine, and hold unknown possibilities. At Wako, we have developed WAKO jewelry that takes advantage of the beauty of Ashoka diamonds and evolves with the times.
This time, as a new initiative, designer Nao Mizutani,
A special collection was created that we asked Mr. Utsuno to design. The dynamic and original lineup created by both up-and-coming designers will bring out a new appeal of Ashoka Diamonds.

It is characterized by an organic shape inspired by two “bones”: born and bone. This series has the meaning of focusing on the essence of things like a bone, and of enveloping something important, and is a series that can be shared with parents, children, and partners, regardless of age or gender, as jewelry that can be worn like a talisman.
The “Ashoka Diamond” is purposely arranged to blend naturally into the frame-like design, bringing out a fresh look. We are particular about the shine of the base metal, and while it is sharp, you can enjoy a beautiful three-dimensional effect from any angle. When worn, it hugs the body, and when removed, it is also characterized by its beautiful form.

“LOVE” is a universal language. A collection that uses the alphabet to create a design that allows you to express your individuality by wearing it in your own way. This message jewelry was created with the hope that the person who wears it will find infinite happiness. The idea of combining the initial “O” of LOVE with Ashoka diamonds is unique. The delicate lace-like shine unique to Ashoka diamonds echoes the sparkle of the surrounding mele diamonds, creating a gorgeous look. Even though it has a pop atmosphere, you can feel the satisfaction of being a piece of jewelry. Our exciting lineup includes rings with an open work and light impression, and brooches that can be used as necklaces by threading a chain through the back part. -Ai Utsuno Profile-
I grew up in an environment where made-to-order jewelry was around me from an early age. After working in the media and fashion magazines for more than 30 years, in 2013 he opened his own jewelry plan @carat_Svegas, which was exhibited and permanently installed in Los Angeles, and began full-scale sales in Japan in 2019. Last year, it was held on the first floor of a department store in Singapore for the first time in Asia.
POPUP will also be held. The unique essence design that shines when worn is popular both domestically and internationally.
■What is Ashoka Diamond?
Ashoka diamonds combine a long, clean cut with an attractive transparent shine and a rounded cut with a delicate and gorgeous shine. It is characterized by the ability to enjoy the sparkling combination of two different brilliant cuts. This unique diamond was created in 1999 by William Goldberg, a famous New York jeweler. The bond with Wako dates back to 2015. Our relationship began through a connection made by a descendant of Chiune Sugihara, who is famous for saving Jews by issuing them “Visas for Life.”
In Japan, only Wako is allowed to directly purchase loose Ashoka diamonds. In order to maximize the brilliance of the Ashoka diamond, we are particular about the design, and the craftsman’s skill is used in every detail, such as the three-dimensional setting and the position of the nails that hold the diamond in place. Inheriting the concept of WAKO jewelry that has continued since the days of Hattori Watch Store, it is jewelry that gives you a sense of elation when you wear it and can be used for a long time.
