Alu Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Bunshiro Ochiai; stock code: 7043; hereinafter referred to as the Company), which provides educational services for working adults using human resource development data and machine learning technology, will be established in 2025. We conducted a questionnaire survey regarding the annual human resources development budget.
Background of the survey
Human capital management, which regards human resources as “capital” and seeks to maximize their value in order to improve corporate value over the medium to long term, is becoming increasingly important. As human capital information disclosure is now required worldwide and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) investment has become more widespread, investors have come to evaluate companies’ human resource development. As seen in the “Basic Policy for Economic and Fiscal Management and Reform 2022” (so-called “Basic Policy 2022”), the government is also encouraging investment in human capital.
In response to this trend, even Japanese companies that traditionally viewed human resources as “resources” have come to recognize that increasing the value of human resources will lead to sustainable growth and development of the company, and the value of human resources as “capital” has come to be recognized. Many efforts are being made to improve this.
Therefore, we conducted a survey of human resources development managers at companies with 1,000 or more employees about their human resources development budgets for 2025. In addition to budgets by company size, this report covers trends in budgets by training theme, priority areas for future training, and issues that companies are aware of in human resource development, with some comparisons with 2024. It is published.
Report summary
1) Trends in human resources development budget per employee 51.3% said it will increase from 2024 to 2025
2) Overall human resources development budget trends
An increasing trend is seen in companies with 3,000 or more employees.
3) Trends in training budget by theme
The top training programs for which the budget increased were “DX human resources/reskilling-related” and “training for mid-career hires.”
4) Evaluation of training effectiveness
In addition to new employee training, young employee training, and mid-career employee training, we also feel that DX human resource development and reskilling-related training are actually effective.
