THE BURBERRY SUMMER 2025 COLLECTION
Easy elegance. A sense of familiarity blends with British creativity and expressive silhouettes.
Rainwear that evokes a sense of summer adventure is cropped, with elements of the trench dissected but expressed in lightweight materials such as silk poplin and linen.
The worn-in material evokes the outdoors, and capes and parkas are coated for weather protection. Drawing on Burberry’s tradition of fabric innovation, the garments are washed and sunbleached to create a worn-in look. Checks are featured on a wide range of items, including jackets, pants and bags in linen cotton, silk viscose and chainmail. The pants have an easy and relaxed feel, and the buttons at the ankles change the silhouette. Cargo pants are both functional and protective. A full-length skirt in bright colors is teamed with a top featuring silk organza faux feather trimmings on the shoulders. The dress is hand-stitched and has gold and lilac metallic paillettes for a gorgeous look.
The men’s jackets feature a checked car coat in lightweight
triple-layer fabric, and a polo shirt collar layered under a fitted leather jacket for a British sophistication.
Men’s penny loafers have a soft construction, and clogs have a sturdy shape. The open-toed mules and twine heels have a feminine feel. The bags are rooted in the outdoors, and “Country” is a bag made of grain leather with a bold Burberry check design. The B-clip is made of tumbled leather, suede, and patchwork check leather.
Colors range from cheerful tones of Parma, Green, Carrot, Bellflower and Lilac to neutral tones of Whitely, Eclé, Terracotta and Skylark. The Summer 2025 collection was launched at the Royal National Theatre, in line with Burberry’s long-standing commitment to supporting the arts. The Brutalist architecture contrasts with the collection’s lightness and complements Gary Hume’s modernist work.
