Urawa no Unagimanten 138th Anniversary Founding Festival – Application QR
* A special day to repay the tradition that has continued since Meiji 19 and the love from the local community *
“Urawa no Unagimanten” has continued to preserve the taste rooted in the region for over 138 years. Manten’s Kabayaki, which continues to be loved not only by the local Urawa residents but also by eel fans from all over the country, is made by carefully selected eels that are quickly prepared by skilled craftsmen, then skewered and grilled.
Just before eating, they are steamed to suit each individual piece, and finally dipped in a secret sauce three times before being slowly grilled. The combination with the moist and soaked rice is exquisite.
In order to express our gratitude for the patronage of the local community over the generations, we will hold the “Urawa no Unagi Manten” event on November 3rd (Culture Day).
As part of our 138th Anniversary Founding Celebration, we will hold an “All-you-can-eat eel meal” where you can enjoy to your heart’s content the traditional unagi-ju food that Manten has cultivated over its history since 1888.
*Voices from participants*
We would like to introduce some of the comments we have received from our guests who enjoyed the event and made us very happy.
・I was able to eat a lot of delicious eel, and my stomach and heart were very satisfied. Although the surrounding scenery may change, I hope that the same taste will continue to be preserved. I’m proud to have a store like this in my hometown. Thank you for the meal.
・I thought it would probably be about 2 pieces, but I was able to eat 4 pieces and am 120% satisfied. Thank you very much.
・It was great that Unako-chan came and the eel festival feeling got bigger. I am very happy to be able to participate in this long-awaited event. I’m proud of it to everyone at work.
・It was a lot of fun as it was an event that both parents and children could enjoy, including a quiz competition and a canning experience. The customer service was also very nice. I’ll come back later.
・I was impressed by how overwhelmingly soft it was than anything I had ever eaten. And both parents and children were full. Thank you very much.
*Due to popular demand, there will be a lottery*

traditional eel dishes.
This event is not just an all-you-can-eat event, but we want as many people as possible to learn about Urawa’s food culture and to pass it on to future generations, so we decided to hold it on November 3rd (Culture Day). Masu.
