Aoba-BBT introduces generation AI to back office

As part of this effort, Aoba-BBT Assistant AI, which we independently developed and introduced, is a Slack bot that utilizes OpenAI technology, and is a tool that facilitates internal communication and improves work efficiency.

Aoba-BBT’s back office department faced the following challenges. – The same questions are repeated: Similar inquiries from employees occur frequently, and it takes time to respond.
– Difficult to ask questions because the person in charge is busy: When work was busy, it was difficult to ask questions to the person in charge.
– Insufficient use of FAQs: The FAQs that were created were not fully utilized, resulting in a stagnation in information sharing. – Variation in response: There were differences in the quality and content of responses depending on the responder.

In order to resolve these issues, we have experimentally considered the use of generative AI internally. By using OpenAI’s API and customizing the AI by loading various internal information into the AI, we confirmed that we were able to obtain appropriate answers to inquiries from the field.
However, during the trial run, the following issues became apparent. – Slow response speed: The generated AI took time to respond, hindering smooth communication.
– Increased cost: There was a concern that if all employees used it, the usage fee for the generated AI would increase as a fixed cost. To solve these problems, we focused on Slack chatbots and added the ability to connect Slack with OpenAI’s API. As a result, we have created a mechanism to access generated AI via Slack, dramatically improving response speed and significantly reducing usage fees.

In response to the “hallucination” problem in which the generated AI gives incorrect answers, we have set up a system in which on-site staff will check the content of the AI’s answers for a certain period of time. If there was an incorrect answer, the information provided to the AI was updated to improve the accuracy of the answer.

The introduction of “Aoba-BBT Assistant AI” has reduced the time and effort required to respond to on-site inquiries, allowing staff to focus on more important tasks. It is also expected to shorten the waiting time for responses to inquiries and speed up overall operations.

At our company, we are deploying the technology of the teaching AI “BioLa” that we have already developed in-house and the newly developed “Aoba-BBT Assistant AI” to the entire education business, aiming to improve productivity and create new sources of revenue. Masu.
For example, the AI prompt function included in our learning platform “AirCampus” can be connected to a customized AI model. With this, we are also considering providing AI specialized in specific learning fields for students.
