In the second half, we will explain the various support systems of the 12 municipalities of Fukushima, roundtable discussions where guests can directly ask questions and consult, and individual consultation sessions regarding migration. The guests for this vol.15 seminar are the following four people. The first person is Tadashi Watanabe, who manages convenience stores that serve as local infrastructure and sells local products online. The second person is Mikoto Sugeno, a parallel worker who works as a land-based shrimp farmer, cafe clerk, and migration counselor.

Born in 1966 in Kawauchi Village, Futaba District, Fukushima Prefecture. After the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, he was involved in the opening and operation of the commercial facility “YO-TASHI” in Kawauchi Village. After that, he established F’s Planning Co., Ltd. and opened convenience stores in Namie and Futaba to support local life (planned to open in Okuma within the year). We have also opened a mail-order site, “Attakakarakoso,” and are working to support local production power both online and in physical stores.

Entered Hosei University’s Faculty of Business Administration in 2019, and has been involved in business activities since the time he enrolled (food and beverage consultant, community building, event planning, etc.). In 2021, he dropped out of university and became a traveler (backpacker) and conquered the country. In September 2023, he went overseas. In April 2024, he had a chance to visit Katsurao Village and took care of the village for a month. He has been in his current position since July of the same year. Image

Born in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1985. After graduating from Kyushu Tokai University (currently Tokai University) in 2007, he completed graduate school at Miyazaki University in 2009 and joined Berg Earth Co., Ltd. (Ehime Prefecture), which produces and sells vegetable seedlings. In 2015, transferred to Berg Fukushima Co., Ltd., a subsidiary, and engaged in company establishment and farm opening preparations. Currently, in addition to producing vegetable seedlings, we are also working on the development of plant vaccines and the practical application of inoculated seedlings.

After returning to Japan, he started working as a freelance barista “Coffee pour house,” and currently runs a restaurant in the village as a member of the Iitate Village Regional Revitalization Cooperation Team. ■Event details 1.
