[Graduate School of Nursing/Professional Graduate School of Welfare and Medical Management] Entrance ceremony  At the entrance ceremony, President Tsutomu Fukui gave a farewell address, and the chairs of the Graduate School of Nursing and the Graduate School of Welfare and Medical Management gave congratulatory speeches. Current students also gave words of welcome and congratulated their fellow students on their admission to deepen their studies. Two representatives of the new students then presented their dreams and goals for studying at the graduate school as “My Statement.”  Bunkyo Gakuin University’s founding spirit is “independence and coexistence.” Being independent has various meanings, but
“independence” is the culmination of repeatedly making decisions and building yourself up. In addition, accepting thoughts, actions, emotions, environments, and society that are different from one’s own is called “coexistence.” It’s about living together. Independence and coexistence are nurtured through relationships with people. You are the main characters of your two years of graduate school life, which is rooted in independence and coexistence. After all, it is up to you to decide what kind of graduate school life you will have. I strongly hope that you will actively change yourself until the time you graduate.  I myself have many opportunities to work in hospitals through practical training as a student, but as the length of stay in hospitals gets shorter year by year, it becomes more difficult to provide adequate nursing care, and as a researcher, there are still many things I need to explore. I feel that I am being treated. In graduate school, I hope that you will find research topics based on your own experiences, deepen your knowledge, and work together with the faculty to improve your learning.
People can’t do anything alone. And independent humans can coexist. People become independent while living together; people change while interacting with others. Let’s aim for “metamorphosis”, where we become something completely different from the beginning, like an insect!  The experience of learning while working as a member of society is very difficult, such as adjusting your time, but I think you will feel very fulfilled. You can make many friends, and I am sure that interacting with members with various experiences will be a great asset. Let’s learn together!  In graduate school, I would like to take advantage of what I learned during my university days and clinical experience in the intensive care unit, deepen my expertise through research, and become a nurse educator who can contribute to the development of nursing practice in the future.  In Japan, where the birthrate is declining and the population is aging, by learning about professionals in the field of welfare and medical care, which is becoming more and more important, you will be able to acquire the common language of business
administration, advance multidisciplinary collaboration more than ever, and I want to become a leader in the field who has the ability to solve problems.  Bunkyo Gakuin University will continue to develop various programs centered on six graduate schools for the reskilling of working adults, as well as actively hold public lectures and provide reskilling support and learning opportunities. We will do our best to provide this information. “Graduate School of Nursing” Overview Nursing Major Master’s Program
