Wireless communication devices must comply with wireless standards for frequency bands that correspond to communication distance and speed for each application, and the importance of selecting RF transmitter ICs that meet standard requirements is increasing. Furthermore, with the increasing demand for improved design of wireless communication devices and longer battery life, there is also a growing need for smaller RF transmitter ICs and lower current consumption.  Epson has therefore developed the S1S77100, an RF transmitter IC that supports specific frequencies in the UHF (Ultra High Frequency) band, for wireless communication transmitters.  The S1S77100 can select frequencies from 300 to 465MHz or 600 to 930MHz by controlling the serial interface (SPI), and is compatible with specified low-power wireless standards*1.  In addition, since the PLL*2 and Power Amp*3 are built into the 4 mm x 4 mm SQFN package, a wireless transmission function can be easily configured in combination with an external crystal oscillator. In addition, it has low current consumption performance of Typ. (Typical Value) 20nA in PowerDown mode*4, making it ideal for small wireless transmitters. These features contribute to reducing the customer’s circuit design and evaluation time.  Epson will continue to contribute to further improving the performance of our customers’ products and making social infrastructure smarter with our “saving, compact, and precise technology” that realizes energy savings, miniaturization, and high precision. ■Main uses  Wireless transmitters for home security devices, smart meters, restaurant call bells, golf cart remote controls, etc. ■Main features ・Frequency can be selected from 300 to 465MHz or 600 to 930MHz ・Small package: 4 mm x 4 mm SQFN package (P-VQFN024-0404-0.50) ・Low current consumption: Typ. 20nA in PowerDown mode (VDD = 3.0 V, Ta = 25 °C) [Related links]  For detailed product information, please refer to the web page below.   URL:
