Background of Michael Fletcher’s appointment Mr. Fletcher is an experienced engineer who has been involved in space technology development at NASA for over 30 years and has led numerous projects to success. We have also made significant contributions to international technical collaboration, including cooperation with JAXA. In addition, we have an extensive network in the US aerospace industry and are well versed in dealing with international laws and regulations. Mr. Fletcher’s extensive knowledge and experience in the engineering field and understanding of international laws and regulations will play an important role in SpaceWalker’s technology development and business expansion. Profile of new advisory board members Mr. Michael Fletcher Career: After receiving a master’s degree in aerospace engineering and astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1986, he worked as an aerospace engineer at Northrop Grumman Corporation. After that, he worked for NASA for over 30 years starting in 1990, working to strengthen the relationship with JAXA as a technical advisor, and contributing to the development of space technology and mission success as chief engineer of the aerospace division at NASA headquarters. From 2016 to 2017, he stayed in Tokyo for one year as a Mansfield Fellow, working on space and aviation policy themes at the Government of Japan (GOJ), and working at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, CAO (NSPS), Ministry of Defense, and JAXA. .
