In the future category, “Monster Hunter Wilds” won! Capcom Co., Ltd. announced at the “Japan Game Awards 2024” (sponsored by the Computer Entertainment Association of Japan) announced at the “Tokyo Game Show 2024″ held from Thursday, September 26th to Sunday, September 29th, 2024. We are pleased to announce that our company’s “Street Fighter 6” received the “Excellence Award” and “Special Award” in the annual work category, and “Dragon’s Dogma 2” received the “Excellence Award.” In addition, “Monster Hunter Wilds” was selected in the Future category. “Street Fighter 6”, which won the “Excellence Award” and “Special Award” in the annual work category, is the first new title in about seven years since the previous work. As a result of efforts to increase recognition among a wide range of users, including the adoption of a new operation mode and the decision to host the e-sports final tournament for the first time in Japan, we received the “Excellence Award.” In addition, it received a “Special Award” in recognition of its enhanced “sound accessibility,” which supports the game experience without visual information. Dragon’s Dogma 2, which also won the Excellence Award in the annual title category, is a game where you can enjoy free action in a classic fantasy world that features swords and magic. Also, even though you can play alone, you can enjoy the fun of going on an adventure with someone else, along with your self-acting servant “Pawn.” This highly original gaming experience was well received and led to the award. Additionally, “Monster Hunter Wilds” was selected in the “Future Category,” in which users select highly anticipated titles from among those to be released in the future through a general vote. At Tokyo Game Show 2024, we exhibited over 150 trial consoles for this title, the largest ever in the “Monster Hunter” series, at our booth and the PlayStation(R) booth. Immediately after the venue opened, many visitors tried it out and it attracted a lot of attention, which led to it winning the award in the same category.
