Minami-Ikebukuro, where our head office is located. Cleaning activities not only help keep the town clean, but they are also an important activity for each participant, as they allow them to discover new shops and foster communication among employees across departments. This time, we supported the Toshima Ward Office’s “Zero Garbage Week” and implemented three projects. For the 11th challenge, “Creating a town where people can continue to live,” we have registered as Toshima Clean Supporters and are working to clean up our own town as part of our environmental beautification activities. We will continue to aim to create a town where people can continue to live in through regular cleaning activities. ■ What is Zero Garbage Week Aiming to eliminate acts such as smoking on the streets and littering around JR stations, and to improve the aesthetic appearance of the city, we designate one week each in September and November as “Zero Garbage Week,” and encourage local residents, companies, organizations, and volunteers to designate one week each in September and November as Zero Garbage Week.
