[Nippon Steel Engineering Co., Ltd.] [Complete] New construction of large logistics facility “MFLP/LOGIFRONT Tokyo Itabashi”
Nippon Steel Engineering Co., Ltd. Press release: October 3, 2024 [Completion] New construction of large logistics facility “MFLP/LOGIFRONT Tokyo Itabashi” Nippon Steel Engineering Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Yukito Ishiwa, Head Office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) is a subsidiary of Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd.
(Representative Director and President: Shun Ueda, Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) and Nippon Steel. We have recently completed construction of the large-scale logistics facility “MFLP・LOGIFRONT Tokyo Itabashi” (located in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as the “Facility”), which was ordered by Kowa Real Estate Co., Ltd. (President: Masahiro Miwa, Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo). I am pleased to inform you that I have done so. This facility is ideally located for deliveries to the city center and will be the largest logistics facility in Tokyo. Our company was in charge of the design and construction, and in line with Itabashi Ward’s policy of “creating a safe and secure city that is resistant to floods during river flooding,” the facility will be designed to provide evacuation space for residents to the central roadway, etc. It is equipped with the function of a disaster prevention base that residents can use for temporary evacuation. In addition, based on the “Waterside Liveliness Creation Project” being promoted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and other organizations, public open space will be located along the Shingashi River, and green spaces such as multipurpose plazas such as “Waku Waku Square” and “Hana no Hiroba” and rows of cherry blossom trees will be developed. By doing so, the design creates a new place of relaxation in the waterside space and revitalizes the liveliness. The building has a six-story seismic isolation structure, and is unaffected by changes in load due to increases or decreases in the number of products stored in the facility, and consistently exhibits stable seismic isolation performance.
