Thank you very much for your continued support of the Ryukyu Golden Kings. Tomorrow, Saturday, October 5th, the Kings B.LEAGUE 2024-25 season will begin with the match between Ryukyu Golden Kings and Sanen Neo Phoenix at Okinawa Arena. Last season was a season where we were acutely aware of the difficulty of continuing to win, but we were able to advance to seven consecutive championships, six consecutive semi-finals, and the third final for three years in a row. In the new season starting tomorrow, we will continue to play 60 games, one match at a time, with the goal of passing the West Region in first place and competing for the championship together with our fans at Okinawa Arena. We will also be representing B.LEAGUE in the EASL (East Asia Super League), Asia’s top tournament, and will be participating in the 100th Emperor’s Cup, aiming to become the first Okinawan team to win the championship. Let’s walk together through the process of growth and challenge ourselves to reach the top. Last season we fell just short as we lost in the Final series. It was a good learning moment for all of us as we took that loss and used it to drive us forward to this season. New players and new coaches, the Kings will look to show how old traditions, and new styles merge well together. Our goal is the same, win as many championships as possible while competing and representing the island of Okinawa to the best of our abilities. As captain, I will always try and lead our team to victory. But, the standard of which we set will always make the fans proud. I am excited to see everyone starting this Saturday, let’s all give it our all and show what Okinawa is made of. In a long season, any great team needs the presence of fans. Whether we’re celebrating a big win or bouncing back from a tough loss, the energy from our fans is one of the key ingredients that makes it all worth it.
