A music festival run by artists born and raised in Koganei and behind the scenes Two people born and raised in Koganei, artist YoYo and event manager Yutaka Tendo, will utilize their experience in the music industry to create the music festival event KOGANEI MUSIC JAM in their hometown of Koganei. We are always particular about the quality of the musical content that is expressed, and aim to create a highly satisfying festival where visitors can take the energy home with them by touching the music. We are moving forward one step at a time with the goal of becoming the leading music festival along the Chuo Line.

In 2018, he was appointed as Koganei City’s tourism ambassador. Started playing piano at the age of 4 and writing lyrics and composing at the age of 15. At the age of 19, he moved to the United States and entered the prestigious Berklee College of Music. After returning to Japan, he made his major debut as SOFFet in 2003. In 2012, he started his solo career and made his life debut as a pianist named “YoYo the “Pianoman”, and released his debut album on the Playwright label at the end of 2018. The original song “Flowers Blooming on the Railroads” won an award in the instrumental category in a competition sponsored by the Washington Songwriters Association. After that, it was aired on TV Asahi’s “From the Car Window of the World”. In March 2024, we will be making a special guest appearance at the 70th Koganei Cherry Blossom Festival as the Koganei City Tourism Ambassador!
