[National Uminonakamichi Seaside Park] Uminaka Candle Night, a winter tradition at Uminonakamichi Seaside Park, will be held again this year. We are soliciting designs for “10,000 Candle Art” from the public.

Lines of Light in 2023 Uminaka Candle Night, a winter tradition at Uminonakamichi Seaside Park, will be held for five days this year: December 14th (Sat), 15th (Sunday), 21st (Sat), 22nd (Sunday), and 25th (Wednesday). It will be held. We are currently accepting designs for the “10,000 Candle Art,” which will be created using 10,000 candles as the main feature of the event, until November 11th (Monday). This year’s design theme is “~Everyone’s Happy Christmas~”. The selected candle art design will be a gigantic geoglyph of light measuring approximately 100 meters in length and width. JCAA is Japan’s largest candle art contest. We will honor candle art works that make full use of various techniques and designs, as well as candle nights held across the country. This time, Uminaka Candle Night has been held for 17 consecutive years since 2007, including “the largest number of candles held in one place in western Japan”, “citizen participation in candle volunteering and recruitment of geoglyph designs, etc.” It was highly evaluated and won the Grand Prix in the Candle Night category.
