1F Atrium main tree (image) Tokyo Sankei Building SHOPS & RESTAURANTS (location: 1-7-2 Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) is the flagship building of Sankei Building Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kazunobu Iijima). The Christmas illuminations inside the building will start turning on from November 18th (Monday). The concept is “Circulation Christmas”. On October 28th (Monday), we held a workshop for local office workers to make ornaments to decorate the main tree.We used dried flowers, beads, etc. in frames made from plant scraps, and gave participants the
opportunity to create their own decorations. We created an original ornament. The ornament’s frame is manufactured using a 3D printer after crushing and separating plant waste, and is unique in that it is recycled. By using balls made from plant residue such as leaves, stems, and withered flowers that remain in the soil after vegetables are harvested as ornaments, we will create a sustainable Christmas illumination project. The theme color is “Hello Blue,” which is the color of the earth blessed with water, and will brighten the future.
