Daft Punk & Leiji Matsumoto’s “Interstellar 5555” appears on screen after 20 years With the new remastered material, a miraculous screen screening in 800 theaters in over 40 countries around the world was realized. In Japan, special screenings will be held for two days, December 12th and December 15th, and for four days from December 12th to 15th, depending on the theater.

Introduction Interstellar 5555 is a film created by Daft Punk and Cedric Hervé in collaboration with Leiji Matsumoto and Toei Animation, and tells the story of an alien music band being kidnapped by human characters with sinister plans. Essentially an animated visual album, Interstellar features the entire soundtrack of Daft Punk’s iconic 2001 album Discovery, including songs such as “One More Time,” “Harder,” Includes iconic anthems like “Better, Faster, Stronger” and “Veridis Quo”. As a visual album, the film was cut into individual music videos, making it extremely rare to see the entire film in theaters until this opportunity. In addition to the main feature, this special screening will also screen for the first time a selection of iconic video music brought to the world by Daft Punk, who are known for their commitment to visual creativity.
