“Osaka Feast of Lights 2024”, where numerous illuminations will be held throughout Osaka Prefecture, starts on November 3, 2020! Continuing from last year, wakka LLC will be working on the design of “Midosuji Illumination 2024.” wakka LLC (representative: Ayaka Kubo) will be holding “Midosuji Illuminations 2024”, one of the core programs of “Osaka Feast of Lights 2024” (from November 3, 2020 (Sunday/Holiday) to December 31, 2024). Based on the concept of “A symbolic street of light that connects to a bright future,” we will develop a large-scale illumination that will envelop Midosuji, Osaka’s symbolic street, in gentle light. This year, with the design concept of “Glow Light”, we are planning various productions with the aim of creating an event of light that nurtures the city and people. ■Illuminations that reveal the history of the city The Osaka/Kansai Expo will finally be held in April next year. While thinking about the future development of the city, we have used the color of light to express the history that served as the basis for the current development of the city, so that you can once again pay attention to the historical background of the city.

At the beginning and end of the simultaneous projection mapping performance, video and light boxes work together to create a performance. The projection mapping story tells the story of light coming out from a light box created by everyone, and eventually the main hall of Kita Mido becomes a large box of light. The boxes of light on display will continue to grow more and more colorful during the workshops held during the lighting period.
