Warm Japanese conversation Our company is based on a game production company, and since our founding we have been researching and developing a conversation engine that allows users to communicate in natural Japanese. Instead of having a standard one-question-and-answer conversation, you memorize the context of the conversation, expand on the topic to suit the other person, casually check on daily
activities, and occasionally throw in a tsukkomi. The goal of this product is to create such a natural exchange of words between people. We believe that warm conversations using AI will alleviate the loneliness of elderly people and improve their QOL. 2. Character settings based on the folklore of Kawamata Town Although it is a monitoring device, we want users to enjoy using it without feeling nervous about being monitored and managed by a machine. In this experiment, we created a character named “Matabee” as a monitoring speaker, and gave it a sweet tone and a greedy personality. Based on the folklore surrounding Chigoiwa in Kawamata Town (that babies were abandoned in a rock cave in order to reduce the number of children), “Although she is innocent, she has a strong admiration for her mother, and at times becomes angry.” The language is generated as a character called “Children’s Yokai”. In addition, the voice of “Matabee” is generated using AI technology by sampling the voice of an elementary school student living in Kawamata Town who passed the audition. 3.
