For Life Records was founded in 1975 by four artists: Komuro, Takuro Yoshida, Yosui Inoue, and Shigeru Izumiya. However, two years later, in 1977, Shigeru Izumiya became aware of the idea that “creative” and “management” should be separated. Unzen Eruption Disaster Relief Charity Concert,” he has also engaged in acting, painting, etc. He has been active in a variety of fields, and has been at the forefront for 53 years since his debut with the 1971 live album “Shigeru Izumiya”. Shigeru Izumiya has returned to his hometown, 4Life, for the first time in 48 years, and has announced the release of his first new album in 6 years, “Shin Self Covers Kaibutsu”. The origin of this comeback drama was a chance reunion with the For Life staff from back then at a certain live house in Tokyo. Since then, they have continued to talk several times, including about 4Life’s 50th anniversary next year, and “I realized that I wanted to do something together.” He himself had a desire to work together to celebrate the milestone 50th anniversary of the label he was involved in creating. As for the content of the new album, it contains a total of 9 songs. In addition to the new title tune “Monster,” there is one new song, and according to the singer, “When I perform live all over the country, there are many fans who want to hear the songs from that time with the current vocals. Six self-cover songs will be added, including “I decided to re-sing the 6 songs that I carefully selected after going to the 76-year-old.” The remaining song is a cover of Takuro Yoshida’s debut song “Image no Uta”! This song, which was chosen because it was released by Forlife, was said to be “I once did a charity concert in Kobe for the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake (August 12, 1995).At that time, Shogo Hamada sang this song.” That’s really cool. It was really good. So I started thinking, “I want to sing this song, too,” and I kept looking for an opportunity to do it.Of course, I told Takuro, “Let me cover it.” That’s why I decided to sing,” he says of his thoughts.
