The practicality and improvement effects of the grease trap improvement solution, which is increasingly used in food factories and the restaurant industry, were evaluated. The Food Safety Award is an award that honors pioneering and cutting-edge activities and achievements of companies and organizations in the food industry (food manufacturing, distribution, eating out, ready-made meals, hotel industry, etc.) that respond to safety, security, and environmental conservation. The selection criteria for the “Safety and Environmental Contribution Award” are: (1) a management system that strives for continuous improvement; (2) Companies and organizations that appropriately disclose information in CSR reports, environmental reports, etc., and that have achieved results by working on safety and security, environmental conservation, and social contribution, and that serve as models for the industry. The company must have goals (quantitative or qualitative) that can be compared with other companies and organizations, and have achieved them. The key point of this year’s ASPiA JAPAN award is “establishment of oil recovery technology for resource circulation and its use in food factories and the restaurant industry.” As a product that complies with the Ministry of the Environment’s Water Pollution Control Law and Sewerage Law (effluent standard normal hexane 30 mg/liter or less), we have developed our proprietary oil adsorbent “ECOSAS Fiber” and “ECOSAS Grease Trap Purification” which decomposes sludge and sludge. It is attracting attention for its use in food factories and restaurants. Neglecting to clean grease traps causes environmental problems such as “clogging of sewage pipes due to oil and fat”, “creating a strong odor due to sludge and sludge,” and “oil balls leaking into septic tanks, rivers, and the sea.” The “lack of people” in all domestic industries is also having a significant impact on cleaning work in the food industry.
