Prossel Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture, Representative Director and CEO: Kazuteru Yokoyama, hereinafter referred to as “Prossel”), which develops a career partner business for technical college students, is a member of the National Institute of Technology, Suzuka National College of Technology. We will support the operation of the “Technical College Business Contest in Suzuka National College of Technology 2024” sponsored by (Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, Principal: Shinji Fujimoto, hereinafter referred to as “Suzuka National College of Technology”). The event will be held from December 10th to December 14th and will be open to all students belonging to technical colleges. Each team will come up with a new business plan to solve the labor shortage, and will present their results at a presentation on the final day. Prossel will continue to promote initiatives that contribute to the creation of startups originating from technical colleges and entrepreneurial education. ■Background of the business contest: Contributing to the creation of startups from technical colleges and entrepreneurial education In January 2022, Prime Minister Kishida (at the time) declared the “first year of startup creation” at a New Year’s press conference and set a goal of increasing the amount of investment in startups tenfold in five years. On November 28, 2022, the “Five-Year Startup Development Plan” was decided, and startup support is attracting attention as a national policy to boost the Japanese economy. Against this background, even technical colleges originally established to train engineers are now placing more emphasis on entrepreneurship education and support for startup creation. Since its founding, Prossel has developed a career partner business targeting technical college students, and has held numerous business contests in collaboration with technical colleges. Utilizing that experience, we have been supporting the business contest hosted by Suzuka National College of Technology since last year*, and we have decided to hold the “National College of Technology Business Contest in Suzuka National College of Technology 2024″ in 2024 as well. The purpose of this contest is to provide an opportunity to learn about practical business that cannot be covered in regular classes, and to lead to the creation of startups from technical colleges and entrepreneurial education.
