Chiru-certified BL sommeliers will select the works! We will establish a new voting category “BL Sommelier Division” for BL sommeliers who have passed the extremely difficult exam. We will establish a new “BL Sommelier Division” where BL sommeliers who have passed the “BL Sommelier Certification”, a difficult exam sponsored by our company with a passing rate of less than 2%, will vote. A certified BL sommelier with wide and deep knowledge selects BL manga works that more people should know about. Please look forward to the lineup of sommeliers with specialized knowledge. ■The popular “webtoon section” will be held again this time! The “webtoon category”, which was first held at “BL Award 2024”, will also be held at “BL Award 2025”. The webtoon category was held for the first time at “BL Award 2024” in response to the increasing popularity of vertical scrolling comics in recent years. Due to the favorable reception last time, we have decided to hold this event at “BL Award 2025” as well. Vertical scrolling web comics with the latest Japanese version updated in 2024 are eligible for nomination. Just like last time, this time as well, we are soliciting pre-nominated works from “Chiru Chiru” users in advance. This category, which has many works from overseas nominated, will make this year’s BL Awards more exciting as it reflects the global spread of BL. ■8 manga categories will be held again this time, including the “General Comics Category” that was newly established last time There will be 9 manga categories, including the BL Sommelier category, the webtoon category, and the newly established “general comic category,” “romantic comedy category,” “emotional
category,” and “fetish category.” In addition, there will be a total of 11 categories, one each for novels and BLCD. In 2024, when a variety of BL works will be published, we will create rich encounters between users and works by selecting nominated works from all perspectives. [General comic category] The first volume of the book will be selected from comics released in 2024 based on the evaluation score on Chiru Chiru. This is a comprehensive ranking of comics from the past year, regardless of category. *There is a possibility of multiple nominations in categories for comics, excluding the series category. [Series Category] Winners will be selected from the series (sequel) comics based on their Chiru Chiru evaluation scores. [Romantic comedy category] Comics with a comical style will be selected based on the evaluation score on Chiru Chiru. [Emotional category] Based on Chiru Chiru’s evaluation score, comics that focus on the psychological depiction of characters and everyday scenes are selected. [Fetish section] Comics that stimulate fetishism, such as erotic scenes, special play, and special situations, are selected based on the evaluation score on Chiru Chiru. [Deep Division] Comics that highlight the deep appeal of BL will be selected based on their evaluation scores on Chiru Chiru.
