Sakura City Press release: December 18, 2024 [Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture] Recording tables in memory of the late Professor Makoto Takahashi will be installed at Sakura City Hall and Sakura City Museum of Art (12/18 – 1/31) In response to the news of the death of Sakura Goodwill Ambassador Makoto Takahashi, we have started bookkeeping at two locations in Sakura City.

Sakura City Museum of Art special exhibition poster held in 2015. The actual item is displayed in front of the register table. On November 17, 2024, Sakura Goodwill Ambassador and painter Makoto Takahashi passed away. He has lived in Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture for many years, and has been involved in the wrapping design of Sakura City community buses, the design of various event posters for the city, and has been involved in many city events such as special exhibitions sponsored by the Sakura City Museum of Art. Thank you very much for your cooperation in the measures and efforts to promote the city and communicate its charm. Since April 2018, I have been working as a Sakura Goodwill Ambassador. In order to express our gratitude for his great contribution to Sakura City, and in memory of Professor Makoto Takahashi, who was loved by the citizens of Sakura for his cheerful and friendly personality, we will set up the bookkeeping desks at two locations in the city as shown below.
