It also plays an important role in a variety of areas, including the appearance and functionality of products, advertising, and the usability of websites and apps. Basic design knowledge is important not only for graphic designers and web designers, but also for video creators, directors, marketers, and anyone involved in any creative profession. In this seminar, Keiichi Masuda, who manages certification programs for graphic design, web design, and video production, produces educational materials, and also teaches at vocational schools, will provide an easy-to-understand explanation of the fundamentals of design. The theme of this seminar is “Japanese Decoration and Patterns.” The 13th and 14th sessions will focus on “Japanese Decoration” and “Japanese Patterns,” respectively. The sessions will cover the types of traditional Japanese decorations and patterns, provide specific examples and their backgrounds, and explain how to use them in design. While viewing many beautiful traditional Japanese decorations and patterns, learn about Japanese artistic elements in design and apply them to your own ideas and designs. In addition to viewing the seminar, the 2025 re-run will also feature a fun quiz during the seminar, asking, “How would you design this?” We hope you’ll join us for a fun and educational experience.
