Kitakyushu. (※) W TOKYO Co., Ltd. and LDH JAPAN Co., Ltd. formed a partnership in November 2022 to launch a new project utilizing TGC events held across the country, aiming to contribute to local communities and promote the SDGs through collaboration between local governments and dance and other entertainment. Our activities are centered around three themes: promoting SDG goal “3. Good health and well-being for all” by creating opportunities for people of all ages and genders to experience dance; promoting SDG goal “4. Quality education” by nurturing the next generation through dance and creating opportunities to experience entertainment; promoting SDG goal “17. Partnerships for the goals” by working together with local
governments, W TOKYO, and LDH JAPAN. With the athletic meet coming up next week, students, tanned from practice, begin to gather in the schoolyard, bathed in the crimson of dusk, after school. When the dance club members, gathered at the teacher’s invitation, enter the classroom, the words “We have a surprise announcement…” appear on the screen. As the classroom is filled with mysterious background music selected by the teacher to entertain the students, the words “We’ve been confirmed to appear at TGC Kitakyushu!” appear on the screen. Furthermore, when a surprise video message from FANTASTICS is shown, the classroom erupts in cheers of joy, and some students are seen shedding tears.

We, FANTASTICS, will be performing at “TGC Kitakyushu 2025.” And this time, we’d like the members of the Tokiwa Gakuen Tokiwa High School Dance Club to dance with us at our artist live show! We’ll be working hard to prepare for the day, so let’s work hard together to put on a great performance! (From Seguchi Reiya, a native of Fukuoka
Prefecture) “We have to show the Kitakyushu spirit!” After the surprise announcement, club president Kubo Soma (3rd year, center, photo below) said, “I’m so surprised and happy all at once, I can’t process it all in my head. As everyone else’s reactions indicate, some people actually go to TGC every year, and it’s a famous stage, so I’m truly grateful to be able to perform there. Since we’re performing, we’ll look forward to it, but we’ll also do our best to put on a great performance.” Deputy club president Masuhara Yuna (3rd year, center) savored her joy, saying, “I’ve been to TGC Kitakyushu many times before, and I’ve always been envious of other schools’ dance clubs shining on the TGC Kitakyushu stage. I’m so happy that I’ll be able to perform on the stage I’ve always dreamed of, in my final year of high school.” Finally, the teacher gave the students some encouragement, saying, “This is truly a dream stage. It’s an opportunity that comes around very rarely in your lifetime, and I want you to make the most of this experience, so let’s do our best from practice until the day itself!”

Even before their debut, they attracted significant attention as an unusual new group, and debuted on December 5, 2018, with the song “OVER DRIVE.” Many of the songs they have released so far have been used as theme songs for popular dramas and movies, and in February 2025, they released the mini-album
“Dimensional Bridge,” featuring six songs all with tie-ups, including “Yellow Yellow,” the theme song for the movie “Yano-kun’s Ordinary Days,” starring member Yagi Yusei; “Spring Dance in the Sky, Wishing,” the theme song for the movie “We Can Use Magic Only Once in Our Lives,” and the ending theme “Mahou Mitai na Hibi.” In July, they completed their largest live concert to date, “FANTASTICS LIVE 2025 “CRAWLING BUTTERFLY” “SILENT BUTTERFLY” “RISING BUTTERFLY,” which attracted an audience of 66,000! Starting next month in September, FANTASTICS will embark on their solo arena tour “FANTASTICS LIVE TOUR 2025 “BUTTERFLY EFFECT” -FLY WITH YOU-,” which is scheduled to include 18 performances in 8 cities. Look forward to their one-day special stage performance with the dance club “TLovlemaKers” from Tokiwa Gakuen Tokiwa High School, which has a track record of placing third in the Japan High School Dance Club Championship, the Koshien tournament for high school and junior high school students aiming to be the best in Japan! 【 TGC KITAKYUSHU 2025 by TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION Event Overview】 All information is current at the time of release. Held twice a year since August 2005, this festival brings together top influencers, including models, TV personalities, artists, and video creators, and boasts a recognition rate of 94%. It’s the largest fashion festival in history. The total number of people who experienced the event both in person and online exceeded approximately 8 million, and by combining TGC with a wide variety of partners, it has gone beyond the framework of a fashion show and developed into a branding platform that functions as a “laboratory” for content development and branding. Utilizing its communication power, it will work with the United Nations, governments, and public agencies to serve as a bridge to communicate ever-changing social issues, such as the promotion of SDGs and regional revitalization, to young people.

TGC’s predecessor, the “Regional Industry Revitalization Project,” began in March 2009 with the “Cabinet Secretariat Regional Revitalization Project – Glasses in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture.” With the goal of
revitalizing local industries across Japan, the project has operated promotional booths and stage displays at the TGC (held in Tokyo) venue, as well as held TGC events in regional cities such as Nagoya, Okinawa, and Fukushima. In 2015, the “TGC Regional Revitalization Project” was launched, leveraging the TGC platform to not only promote the charms and industries of local areas nationwide, but also to provide opportunities to experience “Tokyo’s cutting edge,” based on TGC’s unique philosophy of regional revitalization. Starting with TGC Kitakyushu 2015, which was held in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture in the same year, the locations have been expanding year by year, including Toyama, the first in the Hokuriku region, Hiroshima, the first in the Chugoku region, Shizuoka, Kumamoto, Wakayama, the first in the Kansai region, Matsuyama, the first in Shikoku, and Kagawa. We will continue to promote the appeal of regional cities through TGC.
