INSTANT ALTER, a future fusion band based in New York and Los Angeles, will release their new single, “Con Polaris,” on Friday, August 29, 2025. Founded by saxophonist Emilio Modeste (who also appears on the song “MOMENTUM” in the anime “BLUE GIANT”) and vocalist Natasha Agrama, INSTANT ALTER has built a genre-defying, cinematic musical world through collaborations with leading contemporary jazz artists such as Stanley Clarke, Christian McBride, Kassa Overall, Thundercat, and Kamasi Washington. The new single, “Con Polaris,” features a guest appearance by Julius Rodriguez, an up-and-coming keyboardist known for his work with Nick Hakim and Meshell Ndegeocello. With a sound that seems to reach from far beyond the galaxy, this album combines cosmic spaciousness with introspective serenity, showcasing a new side to INSTANT ALTER’s musicality. Emilio Modeste’s meditative saxophone invites the listener on a journey through time and space, while Natasha Agrama’s enveloping vocals gently guide the journey. Julius Rodriguez’s floating keyboard melodies evoke a landscape that is both unknown and somehow nostalgic.
