The BS Yoshimoto version retains the “private” interaction you can enjoy on the channel, but also includes TV-only projects, giving you a glimpse of the two of them that you can’t see anywhere else. This time, the location was the official dealership, Mercedes-Benz Urayasu. Sakai excitedly said, “This is my first time owning a Mercedes-Benz!” He continued, “When I won big at the horse races, I told my company, ‘I want to buy a Mercedes-Benz.’ But they said, ‘The leader’s not allowed,’ and ‘Junretsu has a down-to-earth vibe, doesn’t he?’… Today, I came here as if I was taking a test drive!” he said, making the two laugh. First, they decided to look at the latest models and popular cars in the store. Seeing Sakai in his Mercedes, Mukai and Nagata recommended, “That’s not weird at all. It’s time for Junretsu to get a Mercedes too!” Flattered, Sakai became enthusiastic and said, “Let’s buy one!”

In the car, the connection between Chocolat Pla and Junretsu is revealed. Sakai, who performed with Chocolat Pla when Junretsu was in a pinch, recalled, “(The two of them) were so kind (at the time).” Perhaps because Chocolat Pla was just starting to appear on TV at the time, Nagata recalled, “It was (Junretsu’s) ‘recklessness.’ We were working so hard back then too, so I really sympathized with them.” A few years later, when Chocolat Plaisir’s YouTube channel was looking for contestants for a “bad face contest,” Sakai voluntarily filmed a video and sent it to the channel. Sakai revealed that being introduced led to more variety show work, and Mukai was surprised, saying, “You’re so greedy! Sending videos of your own accord.” In addition, Sakai spoke passionately about the other members, saying, “The other two just follow along without saying a word. They support me. They’re a very reliable pair.” Junretsu celebrates its 15th anniversary this year. Born in Osaka Prefecture He is the leader and producer of Junretsu, a three-member mood pop chorus group formed in 2007. Junretsu has performed on the NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen for seven consecutive years since 2018. In 2025, they will hold a nationwide tour to commemorate their 15th anniversary since their debut, releasing the commemorative song “Futari Dake no Himitsu” in June.
