Equipped with a wide range of playing styles, from exciting, fast-paced phrases to delicate, beautiful tones, he is highly regarded not only by ukulele fans but also by musicians and industry professionals. Born in 1993. He began playing the ukulele at the age of 11, and attracted attention at the age of 14 when he was featured on television as a “ukulele genius.” In 2010, he performed on Jake Shimabukuro’s Japan tour. In 2016, two of his albums were nominated for the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards, also known as the “Hawaii Grammy Awards,” making him the youngest Japanese person to ever receive the award. Also in 2016, he made his major label debut with King Records. From his major label debut album “Made in Japan, To the World.” to his latest album “Brand New Rainbow,” due for release in 2024, he has released a total of 20 albums, including indie releases. He is currently recording a rapid release pace that is rare for a ukulele player. Since his major label debut, he has been active in a variety of fields, including performing at the Fuji Rock Festival, arranging and performing the theme song for TOKYO FM’s “JET STREAM,” and releasing a “Dragon Quest” cover album officially endorsed by Koichi Sugiyama. He has also received high praise from overseas, performing in the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, Australia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, China, and Canada, where his playing has been met with rave reviews. In 2021, he became the first Japanese player to appear on the cover of the British ukulele magazine “UKE MAGAZINE,” and in 2022, he became the first ukulele player to appear on the cover of the classical guitar magazine “Gendai Guitar.” He has been attracting attention from many quarters. In 2023, he will be composing the music for the feature-length film “Obihiro Gastronomy,” further expanding his scope of activities. All of his beloved ukuleles are handmade by him.
